Landman Season 2: A Solid but Uneven Season

Another solid season from Tye Sheridan, even if it falls short in a few areas. The growth of Tommy’s relationship with his family was genuinely endearing, especially with the introduction of T.L. Norris as his father. I also liked seeing the aftermath of Monty’s death and how Cami steps into his role to lead the company.
That said, Copper and Ariana’s relationship continues to be irksome—at least for me—and Copper remains the least interesting character on the show. My biggest issue this season was the lack of a looming threat; the crime-thriller tension that drove the previous season was noticeably missing.
Still, the finale shows real promise in where the story is headed. Overall, this was a solid season of Landman.
