The only way to watch this show is in black and white—it just feels right. The visual style gives it a timeless, noir-inspired atmosphere that perfectly matches the story and characters. I honestly can't imagine watching it any other way.

I also never realized how much I needed Nicolas Cage as Spider-Man in my life until this series came along. He’s exactly as entertaining as you'd hope, bringing that unique Nicolas Cage energy to the role while still making the character feel surprisingly compelling. And yes, he gets several moments to fully embrace the kind of wonderfully over-the-top chaos that only he can deliver.

That said, the first half of the season does take a little while to find its footing. The pacing can feel slow at times, and it takes a few episodes for all the moving pieces to come together. But once the story settles in and the characters are established, the second half really takes off. The momentum picks up significantly, and the show becomes much harder to stop watching.

What really makes the season work, though, is the cast. You quickly grow attached to these characters and become invested in their journeys. I especially loved the dynamic between Ben, Robbie, and Karen. Their chemistry adds a lot of heart to the series and helps balance out the action and larger comic-book elements.

The villains were also a highlight. They were fun, memorable, and brought plenty of energy whenever they appeared. Electro, in particular, steals nearly every scene he's in and ended up being one of my favorite parts of the entire season.

Overall, this was a hugely entertaining watch. It has style, heart, fun characters, and just enough craziness to keep things interesting. Despite a slower start, the payoff is well worth it. I had a great time with it, and I'm already hoping we get another season because I'd gladly spend more time with these characters.
