Fountain of Youth is only good for two things: background noise and being instantly forgettable. This movie tries to be an action-packed adventure but ends up feeling like a lazy, uninspired knockoff of better films like National Treasure or Indiana Jones. Unfortunately, it lacks the charm, fun, and originality that made those classics memorable.

Let’s start with the casting—John Krasinski is wildly miscast as a globe-trotting action hero. He doesn’t have the screen presence or physicality for the role, and he struggles to sell the action scenes. Pairing him with Natalie Portman doesn’t help much either, as they have zero chemistry. Their scenes together feel forced and hollow, making it hard to care about anything they’re trying to achieve.

The plot centers on an eccentric billionaire obsessed with finding the fountain of youth, which could’ve been fun if it weren’t so predictable. If you’ve seen any adventure or heist movie in the last decade, you’ll be ten steps ahead of the story. There are no surprises, no clever twists—just a tired formula being repeated without any real spark.

Worse yet, the film gets progressively more boring as it goes on. The pacing drags, the dialogue is flat, and the stakes never feel urgent. Even the big finale, which should’ve been the movie’s most thrilling moment, lands with a thud. It’s dull, underwhelming, and completely forgettable.

But what sinks Fountain of Youth is its total lack of fun. Adventure movies are supposed to sweep you away, make you feel like a kid again, and give you a thrill. This movie does none of that. It’s not funny, it’s not exciting, and it doesn’t even try to be inventive.

By the end, you won't remember this movie once it's over.
