The Gentlemen: Slick, Sharp, and Addictively Watchable

TV SHOW REVIEW

RATING: 8/10

Guy Ritchie’s The Gentlemen series captures everything fans love about his style — colorful characters, sharp dialogue, and the seedy glamour of organized crime — while introducing enough new faces to keep things fresh.

Theo James impresses as Eddie Horniman, effortlessly balancing charm, swagger, and ruthlessness. Kaya Scodelario’s Susie Glass is equally magnetic, and their on-screen chemistry keeps the narrative crackling with energy.

The show stays true to the tone of Ritchie’s 2019 film but feels accessible even to newcomers. It's packed with double-crosses, dry humor, and escalating chaos. However, while the series starts strong, the ending doesn’t hit quite as hard as I hoped, lacking that final gut-punch or twist Ritchie is famous for.

Still, the world-building is rich, the performances are excellent, and the pacing is snappy. This is a stylish, addictive crime drama that leaves you wanting more seasons, even if it slightly pulls its final punch.
